Have a reputable shop tap into the trans cooler lines at the radiator and do a true 1:1 trans fluid exchange with a machine, or just do a drain and fill (only gets about 1/3 to 1/2 fluid). - there is a drain plug in the bottom of the trans case, 10mm I think and then a check plug on the driver's side near the CV axle output. Hit your menu key, then choose Clear list. Then menu key and Add predefined set. Choose the GM set. Go back to your dashboard and add the Transmission Fluid Temp. I changed both the transfer case and differential oil @ 41k miles, and the drain plug magnet for the rear diff had black residue on it (probably from the differential clutch), and the fluid was black (it starts out amber colored), The transfer case fluid magnet and color was relatively cleaner in comparison.
